COVID-19: Greece is Reopening
On Wednesday afternoon, Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis announced that Greece is opening its tourism season as of July 1st. The announcement stated, amongst other points that, there will be no COVID-19 testing before arrival in the country and no 14-day mandatory quarantine. Sample testing will be randomly performed, though, while in the country.
Foreign tourism will start on June 15th, where the arrival of visitors from approximately 20 countries will be permitted. He referred to “visitors with good epidemiological characteristics,” while other criteria to be evaluated; road access, medium flight distance, diaspora communities.
