We hope everyone reading this announcement is well and has not been affected by the Coronavirus (COVID-19). For anyone positive with the virus, we wish a full recovery.

We, as a company, are monitoring and keeping up to date with the spread of the Coronavirus in Greece and Leros. Thus far, no confirmed cases of the virus have been reported on Leros. There is a mandatory closure of theaters, courthouses, cinemas, gyms, playgrounds, clubs and other public gathering places. Cafes and restaurants have been directed to work only as takeout and/or delivery. All establishments have been prohibited from having more than 5 person ques.

We wish to be transparent with what we are doing to protect both our customers and employees. All the measures described below have been implemented per the instructions of the Greek Government and Health Department. Although Greece has, thus far, kept the spread of the virus “under control” by enforcing measures at an early stage, it is up to each of us to take the proper precautions to protect ourselves, our families and the people around us.

First and foremost, please note that we are doing everything we can to keep our facilities germ-free. Our staff has been instructed to disinfect their workspaces frequently. Masks and gloves have been given to staff that are in frequent contact with customers. Our offices, although operational, will not be accepting any customers unless absolutely necessary. All queries and requests should be made either via email or by phone. Our contact information can be found in the signatures of our correspondence and at the end of this announcement. If you already in our facilities, you can visit the official site of Leros, managed by the municipality of Leros (https://www.leros.gr) which has local listings. On the site, you can find all the local emergency phone numbers and other useful telephone numbers such as restaurants, supermarkets, etc.. As the Greek version of the site is the most updated, we recommend the use of the Google Translate browser extension/plug-in to view the Greek version in your preferred language.

If you are planning to travel to our facilities, we inform you that many flights have already been canceled until the 9th of April, to and from Greece. As the risk for travelers is considered high, it is recommended that travelers avoid nonessential travel to areas with local transmission of COVID-19. We, therefore, advise all our customers to change their travel itinerary, either changing their tickets to open date, pending future information of the pandemic or at least until after the 30th of April, which is the current date given for the end of the enforced measures. We will be keeping all our customers updated with any changes in the enforced measures. Please contact us before you rebook your travel itinerary to confirm the current local status. We also advise that you follow the instructions of your local health departments, check the flight status with your airlines and check the situation reports of the World Health Organization (https://www.who.int/emergencies/diseases/novel-coronavirus-2019/situation-reports). If traveling with prescription medication, check with the Greek Embassy of your country, the Customs office at Athens International Airport (+30 210-3542126) or the National Organization of Medicines (relation@eof.gr, www.eof.gr, +30 213-204-0000) to ensure the medication is legal and available in Greece. Always carry your prescription medication in original packaging with your doctor’s prescription.
